- Research the Company: Learn as much as you can about the company you’re interviewing with. Read up on the company’s mission statement, leadership, products and services, recent news and financial information. This will help you understand the company’s culture and the type of questions they may ask.
- Review the Job Description: Carefully review the Job Description and make sure you understand any qualifications and/or special requirements or skills that they are looking for.
- Review and familiarise yourself with every details on your CV.
- Practice Common Interview Questions: Common Interview questions can range from “Tell me about yourself” to What is your greatest weakness?” Practice answers to these common questions to ensure that you have the best response for each situation,
- Prepare to answer behavioural questions. Familiarise yourself with the company’s values. It would help if you answer any behavioural questions in the lens of the company’s values.
- Prepare answering technical questions. Research common technical interview topics and take time to review and practice your answers. Be prepared to talk through and explain your solutions.
- Prepare a List of Questions: It is important to have a few questions ready to ask the interviewer. This will show that you’ve done your research and have an interest in the company.
- Dress Professionally: Make sure you plan out a professional outfit that is appropriate for the position and the company. This will make a good impression on the interviewer as well as boost your own confidence.
- Arrive Early: Try to arrive for the interview at least 15 minutes early. This will give you time to reach the office and get settled before the interview begins.
- Have Confidence: Remember to be confident and upbeat. When answering questions make sure you speak clearly and rapidly. You want to make sure that you’re giving the interviewer a clear picture of why you’d be a good fit for the job.
